The core material of solid pure calcium wire is high-density pure calcium mandrel, and the calcium content per unit length is higher, more uniform and more stable, ensuring a more stable calcium treatment effect.

The smaller specific surface area of the core wire is not easy to oxidize and lose its activity, so that it has a longer storage life and can minimize the calcium oxide inclusions polluting the molten steel; The calcium treatment process of solid core pure calcium wire will not bring other oxides existing in the powder cored wire to pollute the molten steel (such as iron oxide in the calcium iron wire), and the solid core pure calcium wire can further reduce the calcium consumption per ton of steel and reduce the pollution of molten steel than the traditional powder filled cored wire.

Calcium iron wire and silicon calcium wire are filled with powder, and there are many uneven and hollow core materials. Wire breakage and wire jamming often occur in the process of wire feeding, which has a certain impact on steelmaking production. Solid core pure calcium wire is a high-density solid core pure calcium rod wrapped with thick steel shell. The wire quality is hard, there is no slip and deviation during wire feeding, and the operation is very smooth. In addition, the single coil of solid core pure calcium wire is about 1 time longer than that of calcium iron wire, and the consumption is less. The furnace number of single coil solid core pure calcium wire is 4 times that of calcium iron wire. Therefore, the use of solid core pure calcium wire not only makes the wire feeding operation very smooth, but also greatly reduces the number of threading times and significantly reduces the operation intensity of workers.
